The Khmissa, or Hand of Fatima, in Amazigh culture is a powerful symbol representing protection, blessings, and femininity. In Moroccan Amazigh jewelry, it is one of the most cherished designs, often intricately crafted to reflect the heritage and beliefs of the Amazigh people. Traditionally worn as a pendant or amulet, the Khmissa is a stylized hand with five fingers, embodying strength, unity, and warding off negative energy.  Khmissa remains a timeless emblem of Moroccan Amazigh identity and spirituality.

Pendant is strung on a black leather cord with lobster claw clasp. For both women and men.

Material: Silver and leather cord.

Origin: Tiznit. Morocco

Tiznit, a small town in southern Morocco, is the center of silver craftsmanship. It is, in reality, the silver jewelry capital of Morocco. Tiznit is a historic town established in 1881. It is located between the Atlantic coast and the Atlas Mountains. The lovely town is noted for its use of silver and is viewed as the home of Amazigh jewelry making techniques.
