Amazigh Symbols: Identity & Cultural Expression. ⴰⵎⴰⵣⵉⵖ

Amazigh symbols are a significant aspect of Amazigh culture and art, and they are commonly found in traditional Amazigh carpets, jewelry, pottery and tattoos. These symbols often hold cultural and spiritual significance and are passed down through generations.

Sharing my top 3:

1. The Diamond: a diamond-shaped symbol that represents protection and warding off evil.

2. The Hand: This symbol is often referred to as the "Khamsa" or "Hamsa" and represents protection from evil and the hand of Fatima, the daughter of the Prophet Muhammad.

3. The "Cross of Agades": Simple, geometric design that is believed to represent the four cardinal directions and the importance of balance and harmony.

These are just a few examples of our rich and diverse world of Amazigh symbols, which hold deep cultural and spiritual significance for us.
