Amazigh Gem- Aït Ben Haddou ⴰⵢⵜ ⴱⴻⵏ ⵃⴰⴷⴷⵓ
Located in the foothills of the Atlas Mountains near Ouarzazate, Aït Ben Haddou is a UNESCO World Heritage Site renowned for its fortified Ksar (village) made of earthen clay.
Aït Ben Haddou is known for its stunning architecture, with its compact buildings made of mud bricks that blend harmoniously with the surrounding landscape. The village is composed of a series of interconnected kasbahs (fortified houses) that rise dramatically against the backdrop of the desert. The kasbahs feature intricate decorations, ornate carvings, and narrow winding alleys, providing a glimpse into our traditional Amazigh way of life.
The village has gained international recognition and has served as a filming location for numerous movies and TV shows, including ‘’Gladiator’’, ‘’Lawrence of Arabia’’, ‘’Game of Thrones’’, and many other. Its unique architectural beauty and historical significance make it a popular tourist destination.
